Stepmom
Because “figure it out” as a stepmom isn’t support.
Get real guidance that will help you rise above.

Hey, I'm
Taylor Murphy
Wife, Mom, Stepmom, Stepmom Coach + Advocate
Who I Am:
I’m Taylor—wife, mom, stepmom, and coach for women who are tired of white-knuckling their stepmom role. A few years ago, I was in the same spot you’re in now: frustrated, isolated, and Googling “how to not hate being a stepmom.” I couldn’t find the support I needed—so I created it.
What I Do:
I help stepmoms cut through the chaos, find their footing, and rise into a life they enjoy—without sacrificing their sanity or pretending everything’s fine when it’s not.
The Struggles
Being a stepmom is messy. The chaos, the drama, the second-guessing—it can leave you drained, frustrated, and questioning if you’re cut out for this. You don’t have to stay stuck there.
With guidance, strategies, and a community that actually gets it, you can rise above the chaos and create a life that’s real, empowered, and unapologetically yours.
- Do you pretend you’re fine while secretly Googling “is it normal to hate being a stepmom?”
-
Are you ever compared to (or undermined by) the ex, by other people or even yourself?
-
Do you dread the day your stepkids come back because you're constantly on edge or triggered?
- Do you ever wonder through tears if this role of stepmom will ever stop hurting so damn bad?
Your Stepmom Life—Reimagined
Imagine walking into your home and finally feeling respected, confident, and in control. No more tiptoeing, no more second-guessing, no more pretending everything’s fine when it’s not.
With guidance, strategies, and a community that actually gets it, you can:
- Build a practical roadmap for tough situations that works in real life (because spoiler alert: being a stepmom affects every aspect of your life.)
- Gain tools, strategies, and support to handle stress before it handles you.
- Learn how to rise above—because surviving isn’t enough anymore. It's time to actually love your life again.
It's time to stop venting with no solutions. This is about taking control, claiming your power, and finally enjoying your role—without guilt, confusion, or fake smiles.
RISE INTO YOUR ROLE →
“I'm not entirely sure how I stumbled across your account, but I'm grateful that I did. I just wanted you to know that you've supported me in difficult times, knowing that I wasn't alone was huge for me. Thank you!!”

OWN YOUR ROLE + RISE ABOVE
1:1 MENTORSHIP
Being a stepmom is hard. Navigating boundaries, family dynamics, and your own emotions can leave you drained, doubting yourself, and unsure if you’re cut out for this. That’s where Rise comes in—a 1:1 coaching program designed to help you cut through the chaos and step confidently into your role.
How it works:
I use a three-step framework that focuses on clarity, confidence, and control:
-
Clarity: Identify what’s working, what’s draining you, and where you want your stepmom role to go.
-
Confidence: Build tools, strategies, and boundaries that empower you to show up authentically—without guilt or people-pleasing.
-
Control: Take actionable steps to navigate tricky dynamics, communicate with your partner, and feel secure in your role—so you can finally enjoy your life instead of just surviving it.
By the end of our time together, you’ll have a clear roadmap, actionable strategies, and the confidence to rise above the chaos—no pretending required.
